TAKHAT SRI HARMANDIR SAHIB

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji, the king of the Sikh Empire, took up the reconstructions of this Sacred birthplace of the great Guru in 1839. The present gorgeous edifice of Harmandir Takhat was reconstructed in 1954 as the earthquake of 1934 destroyed some part of it.

There are four more Gurdwaras in the vicinity of Takhat Sri Harmandir Ji, Patna Sahib:-

GURUDWARA PAHILA BARI AKA GURDWARA GAE GHAT

Popularly known as Gurudwara Gae Ghat, it is dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who stayed here during his visit to Patna in the early 1500’s.

GURUDWARA BAL LILA MAINI

Situated close to Takhat Sri Harmandir Sahib Ji, this shrine stands at the fomer home of Raja Faateh Chand Maim His wife or the Rani treated young Gobind Rai her own son. When Gobind Rai left Patna, the Rani had a Gurudwara built in her home.

GURUDWARA SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH GHAT

This Gurudwara commemorates the arrival of Guru Tegh Bahadur to Patna After four years if touring Easten India, The Guru returned to Patna to Join his family.

GURUDWARA HANDI SAHIB DANAPUR

This Gurudwara was built in the memory of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, an old whose name was mata Jasni cooked khichdi in a handi and for Guru ji offered it to Sanguru Ji, So this place is known as Handi Sahib.

GURUDWARA BARI SANGAT SHRI GURU TEGH BAHADUR JI CHAUKI

Gurudwara Bari Sangat Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Chauki – Bhagalpur had two Sikh Sangats when Guru Tegh Bahadur visited it in 1667. The it self is named Gurudwara Bari Sangat Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Chauki Sahib. An old hand-written copy of Guru Granth Sahib acquired from the former Udasi priest of the Shrine is Preserved in Gurudwara Singh Sabha.

GURUDWARA CHACHA PHAGGU MAL-SASARAM

The Gurdwara Chacha Phaggu Mal is the principal Gurdwara of the town housed in a spacious high-ceilinged hall With  a gallery at mid-height. Three  copies of Guru Granth Sahib are seated side by side under a domed rectangular pavilion of while marble.

GURUDWARA PAKKI SANGAT

Monghyr Gurudwara Pakki Sangat – Monghyr, a district town, 170km. east of Patna Sahib by rail, is place where Guru Tegh Bahadur is known to have stayed during his eastward journey. It was during his stay here that he got the news of the birth of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

GURUDWARA SHRI GURU TEGH BAHADUR JI – GAYA

Gurdwara Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji – Gaya is an ancient Hindu pilgrimage on the bank of Phalgu  river, a tributary of the Ganges, where the pilgrims go to worship and ceremony is conducted by Local priests fot the benefit of their ancestors.

SHRI GURU TEGH BAHADUR AITIHASIK GURUDWARA, KATIHAR

This historical Gurudwara is situated at Lakshmiput Panchayat of Barari Block of Kathiar District, it is approx. 40km form the district headquarters. Many people visit the as it is associated with guru tegh Bahadur Sahib. An old  volume of Guru Granth  Sahib in also preserved here.
